The path to redemption – Part 2
In Part 1 we identified the basic ‘path to redemption’ for any sector of the board:
• deal with the temptation
• claim the gift
• make use of all three resources (head and heart and gut)
• take the advice of the opposites
Here in Part 2 we have seen how the wings and the moves give everyone access to a range of sectors in addition to home base – so for the full journey to redemption, we could pluralize the first two items: ‘deal with the temptations’; ‘claim the gifts.’
But there is more to the wings and the moves than simply the addition of more gifts and temptations. The gifts and temptations in the wings can interact with home base in powerful ways – to compound the temptations or to find ‘salvation in the wings.’ And the moves give access to sectors some distance from home base, often bringing valuable experience of other zones and other resources. Whatever the circumstances that send us to the stress or security points, one result is that other resources have been developed. For the long term, the journey toward redemption may well have been advanced as we learn to ‘make use of all three resources.’
So here at the conclusion of Part 2 we have a fuller outline of the ‘generic’ path to redemption. Wherever you are on the board – home sector, stress sector, or security sector:
• deal with the temptations
• claim the gifts
• avoid the temptations in the wings
• develop the gifts in the wings
• use what you have learned elsewhere on the board to make use of all three resources (head and heart and gut)
• take the advice of the opposites
And somewhere on your journey, find your way back home – to recognize, value, and develop the gifts of your home base sector. They are wonderful gifts with wonderful applications. They are your true calling and vocation – and the place to call home.
